We are a boutique transactional law firm with a healthcare specialization that handles large and medium sized deals across the country.
Steve has been doing transactional work for twenty-five years. Since 2006 the firm has grown along with our clients to ensure we can close our clients’ commercial real estate health care deals quickly, no matter the size. Along with Steve, Kim Scafuri and Jaret Glazer are partners at the firm and Kim Vazquez is of counsel. Together with our associates we have closed hundreds of acquisitions and loans, along with joint venture agreements, sales and other commercial real estate, health care and corporate legal work. We have worked with all types of buyers and sellers, including REITs, private equity firms, counties, regional owners, family owners and mid-market owners.

Steve’s practice focuses on acquisitions, leases, sales, financings and HUD loans for health care facilities, including long term care facilities, assisted living facilities and CCRCs both inside and outside of Illinois.
Kim is a partner with a practice that focuses on acquisitions, leases, sales and financings related to CCRCs, long term care facilities and assisted living facilities.
Kim is of counsel to the firm with a primary focus on HUD loans, although she can handle any purchase, sale or finance related to a health care facility.
Jaret is a partner who joined the firm in 2015 and primarily works on acquisitions, leases, dispositions, joint ventures, and financings of health care facilities, including long term care facilities and assisted living facilities.
Meghan is a senior associate who joined the firm in early 2017 and works on acquisitions, leases, dispositions and financings of health care facilities, including long term care facilities and assisted living facilities.
Jack is an associate attorney who joined the firm in 2021 and works on acquisitions, leases, dispositions and financings of health care facilities, including long term care facilities and assisted living facilities.
Michelle is our newest addition assisting with all aspects of our transactional practice. She is awaiting her admission to the Illinois Bar.
Brina is a senior paralegal who focuses on our HUD loans, but is also familiar with all aspects of our transactional practice.
